3 minute read

Geelong will be out to return to winning ways when they travel to Hobart to take on North Melbourne on Saturday.

The Cats looked to have got their premiership push back on track with three wins on the bounce, only to slip up against Western Bulldogs.

They still sit in sixth spot on the ladder, two points away from the top four, and can be backed at 2.10 to force their way in there.

Four points against North Melbourne is a must, but it will be far from easy against a side that continue to run some of the big boys close, despite their lowly position.

The Kangaroos are 3.00 to suffer most losses this season, while Richmond are priced at 1.80.

On current form, North Melbourne look to have another victory up their sleeve and will be out to sink the Cats.

 Kangaroos run Carlton close

North Melbourne suffered their 16th defeat of the season against Carlton last weekend, but on another day, could have pulled off a shock win.

The Kangaroos had a poor third quarter which cost them badly, as did some errors late in the game as they went down by 19 points.

However there continues to be signs of improvement and the performance of their young midfield has been a huge plus.

Harry Sheezel was a revelation against the Blues, collecting 35 disposals while booting a couple of goals in the process.

He can be backed at 4.33 to repeat the performance by collecting 35+ disposals against the Cats.

North Melbourne have a poor record against the Cats, losing the last 12 games on the bounce.

They will need to get off to a strong start, and can be backed at 3.10 to win the first quarter by 1-18 points.

 Cats look to bounce back

Geelong need to bounce back from a defeat against the Bulldogs last week, and will be happy to make the trip to Hobart.

They have won the last three meetings against the Kangaroos at Blundstone Arena, by an average of 40 points, and would love a similar outcome.

The way North Melbourne are performing it could be much closer and Geelong are 6.50 to win by 1-12 points.

Jeremy Cameron continues to shine for Geelong when averaging just over two goals a game this season.

The forward is 8.50 to boot the first goal of the game, while Tyson Stengle is available at 11.00.

Patrick Dangerfield has also been impressing in midfield since returning from injury and will be key in the midfield.

The 34-year-old is 3.75 to collect 25+ disposals.
