 Autumnmation to complete hat-trick

The fifth race of the day at Randwick is a 1550m Benchmark 72 handicap restricted to fillies and mares.

Nana's Wish is expected to feature prominently in the market for the Ciaron Maher team following some good efforts this prep.

Those efforts include a win over this course and distance in a Benchmark 64 handicap held on a soft 6 track in January.

While the filly has won at Pakenham since then her best effort arguably came when third in a Benchmark 78 handicap at Rosehill at the end of April.

The four-year-old was beaten less than half-a-length that day and drops in trip her having finished sixth over 1800m at that track when last in action 29th June.

However, she has a wide alley to contend with here and AUTUMNMATION is preferred for the Chris Waller team.

The filly showed good form when placed in maiden company here in February and followed that up with a close second at Rosehill.

The three-year-old recorded her first victory when saluting by just under a length in a 1660m contest at Doomben last month.

The selection returned to Sydney to complete a double when victorious in a 1550m Benchmark 64 handicap at Canterbury earlier this month.

The daughter of The Autumn Sun raced on a heavy 9 track that day and has a good barrier four from the rail.

 Fox for Sandown success

The sixth race at Sandown is a 2100m Benchmark 70 handicap with Ben, JD & Will Hayes looking to hold strong claims thanks to their representative Fire Glo Too.

All three of the six-year-old's starts this prep have come at this venue including when a close third on the Lakeside course in use here at the start of last month.

The gelding contested a similar race to this over this distance that day and subsequently filled the same position in a 2400m Benchmark 74 handicap on the Hillside track here.

THE CUNNING FOX is the pick on this occasion however having been freshened since finishing two lengths third at Morphettville Parks 8th June.

The five-year-old contested a 2250m Benchmark 78 handicap held on a good 4 track that day but has performed well on wet tracks in the past.

The son of Reliable Man's wet track efforts include a narrow win in a 2238m Benchmark 70 handicap when racing on a soft 5 track at Sale in August last year.

The gelding has gone well when racing from off the pace in the past and his tactical versatility is likely to prove helpful given he is set to jump from barrier sixteen.

Tom Prebble takes a valuable three kilograms off the picks back, with his mount taken to register the sixth win of his career.

 Genetic to salute at Doomben

Trainer Adam Campton can boast a 35% strike-rate (9/26) with his runners in the last 30 days and he is double handed in the seventh at Doomben.

The trainer sends out both GENETIC FREAK and Cordozar in the 1350m Benchmark 65 handicap.

Preference is for the former who was a winner over 2000m in a Class 1 set weights contest at Kembla Grange in December.

The four-year-old was successful on a good 4 track that day but finished held at Canterbury in two subsequent starts that prep.

The gelding returned from a spell with a narrow victory in a 1200m Benchmark 65 handicap held on the polytrack at Gold Coast last month.

Apprentice Emily Lang's mount has an inside alley here and with the step up in distance in the pick's favour he looks up to completing a double.
