Airino (Race 2) is now a clear second favourite at $4.20 having shortened more than a point-and-a-half. The filly is racing well with a Ballarat win and Pakenham second at her past couple and looks capable of stepping up to city company.

Zara Bay (Race 3) has been backed into equal second favouritism at $4, which is more than three points shorter than her initial quote. The mare resumes with a strong fresh record and does have a touch of class on her side.

Soho Ruby (Race 4) has been well-backed into favouritism at $4.60, close to half of her opening price. She deserved her win at Sandown last start after some good form this campaign and could be ready to go on with it.

Lord Da Vinci (Race 5) is now a clear market at elect at $3 having shortened the best part of two points since markets opened. The Tasmanian resumes having raced well in feature races in his home state last campaign and has yet to miss a place first up.

Heart Starter (Race 8) has been a good go and is in to $4.80 favourite after as much as $13 was available early. The WA galloper should be ready to fire after three runs this time in and was third in the Echuca Cup last start behind a subsequent Flemington winner.
