She gets her chance to breakthrough this afternoon, but she's a 10-start maiden who is coming through some fairly poor form races, so I think it's a bit rich to be asked to take odds-on about her. She's been a beaten favourite in four of her past five outings, and I think we can get her beat again today.
Ipswich: Race 5; #11 Miss Chenery
She contested some strong races last prep however I think she will need the run here based on the recent trial. I expect her to be better placed when getting to the mile or further.
GREYHOUNDS
Wentworth Park: Race 4; #6 Siska Lucy
Think 1 and 4 can fight this one out. 6 looks too short and happy to be against her. 1 gets a great chance to break through again. 4 is stepping up in trip and could blow them away.
Wentworth Park: Race 12; #6 Law Book
6 has a tricky draw tonight and she's not blessed with great early speed. She may find herself too far back and the 1 could be off and gone with the prize.
Sandown Park: Race 1; #8 Paw Vortex
Paw Vortex is going to find it tough from the outside draw here. Not sure he has the explosiveness to get across cleanly at this stage of his career and I would rather him drawn the paint where he can click into his gears more suitably.
Sandown Park: Race 2; #8 Spritely Sian
Spritely Sian has a reliable forward pattern but she is going to need everything to go right to get a clean run across. Gremlin and My Magic Man are going to be tough to navigate in the early and middle stages and this could take a toll on Spritely Sian in the closing stages.
