Black type racing returns to Eagle Farm this Saturday with the running of the Listed Queensland and Tattersalls Members Cups.
We have a bumber ten-race card at Eagle Farm this weekend culminating in two Listed grade races with the Queensland Cup and Tattersalls Members Cup, both offering up $160,000 in prize money.
Our best bet of the day comes up in race five in the form of Wanda Rox. This daughter of Wandjina didn't quite handle the shifting surface in the Listed Weetwood at Toowoomba last time out but certainly wasn't disgraced beaten less than four lengths.
The run prior when resuming was super impressive where she put them to the sword by over four lengths over this Saturday's track and trip. She draws to get a soft map from the inside alley, gets in at the minimum with the 2kg claim and should be at her peak third-up from the spell. Loves this sprint trip and will be giving backers a sight.
Our next best comes up later in the card with Warby aiming to go back-to-back in race nine. The well-related half-brother to Group 1 winner and stallion Captivant had been knocking on the door of another win with three consecutive runner-up finishes before getting the job done over this course and distance at the latest effort.
Will have derived some confidence from that overdue victory and is another to map well from gate five. The two main dangers appear to be Belvedere Boys and Cloudland.
