Obviously talented, but 2nd up now off the win, I feel he may have been better suited rising in trip above the 1200m given his best form was over more ground last prep. He also maps to find himself back in the field and if he is lacking that turn of foot 2nd up, he may be needing to do a lot of work late.
Moonee Valley: Race 8; #4 Nugget
It feels like we're paying some JMac tax in this early market with Nugget holding a placeas the equal favourite, he has been basic in two runs this preparation and usually does his best work, like his placing in a Doncaster when he is down in the weights.
