ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 2: (3) DIDNTCOSTALOT: Unbeaten colt had his return delayed by last Saturday's washout but an extra week of work will not have harmed his chances of making a successful start to his second campaign. He progressed easily from impressive provincial wins to beat the talented Safusa over 1100m before a short break in November and showed that he had come up well with an easy barrier trial win on a slow track at Warwick Farm on January 17. He has led easily in every start and should use his pace to advantage with the limit weight.

RACE 5: (3) HAPPY HUSSY: Talented filly takes on older mares but proved herself more than once

against older opposition under similar conditions to the field she meets here before she was sent to the Gold Coast last month for an admirable third in the rich Magic Millions Guineas. She was an excellent winner over this course and distance in the same Benchmark class from a wide gate at her start prior to the trip north and will be hard to beat from a much softer inside draw with only 1kg more.

RACE 7: (3) DIAMOND JIM: Eye catching efforts in his two starts since resuming should have this David Payne-trained gelding well primed for his first 2000m test of his current preparation. He has found the line well behind some smart winners in both runs over 1500m and 1550m and Rosehill and Canterbury and should be ready to produce the form that saw him finish second in this same class over this course an distance last August before he went on to win over 2800m before spelling. Appeals as an excellent value bet in an open race.
