First season sire Sooboog (Snitzel) sired his second winner when Emma Rosa (2 f ex Sister Emma by Falvelon) narrowly won on debut at Grafton over 1000 metres on Sunday. The Matt Dunn-trained filly defeated Buck Pharoah (American Pharoah) by a nose with a further length and a half back to Angel Like (Divine Prophet) in third, giving the trifecta in the race to first season sires.

Sooboog’s first winner Jessica Rabbit, who is trained by Annabel Neasham, won well at Doomben over 1200 metres on 30 December. Sooboog stood at Kitchwin Hills in 2020 for a fee of $13,200 (inc GST) and he has 18 lots catalogued for the forthcoming Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
