Derby-winning sire’s fee to remain the same as 2022
Cambridge Stud's star resident Almanzor will stand for the same fee as last year, despite a breakout season in which he produced Victoria Derby winner Manzoice.
The son of Wootton Bassett will again stand for NZ$55,000, inclusive of GST.
"We're delighted with the start Almanzor has made with his first runners.," Cambridge Stud chief executive Henry Plumptre said.
"To have sired six Group One performers, five of those in Classic races, is a very notable achievement so early in his career."
Along with Manzoice, Almanzor is the sire of ATC Derby runner-up Virtuous Circle, New Zealand Derby runner-up Andalus and New Zealand Oaks second placegetter Mehzebeen.
"It has also been very pleasing to see Almanzor's affinity with mares carrying Danehill. We felt his outcross pedigree would be a real asset and that is proving to be the case," Plumptre said.
Hello Youmzain (Kodiac) will also stand at an unchaged fee, to again be offered for $33,000, while Sword Of State (Snitzel) remains at $16,500 with Embellish (Savabeel) up from $4400 to $5500.
