Wootton Bassett's sire profile is set to rise further as the Coolmore stallion will be represented by 27 yearlings with Inglis releasing the catalogue for the Australian Easter Yearling Sale coming up on April 7 and 8.

With 500 lots listed, I Am Invincible progeny numbers 44, Zoustar with 36 and Written Tycoon 31.

The sale will also feature the first yearling offered in Australia by five-time US Group 1-winning sire Gun Runner with a colt out of US mare Sweet Martini to be sold by Newgate Farm.

The added carrot is thar all yearlings purchased at the Easter Sale have the opportunity to nominate for the lucrative Inglis Race Series which includes the $2 million Inglis Millennium (1100m), the $1 million Inglis Sprint (1200m), together with the $1m Inglis Pink Bonus.

With a daughter of Winx by Pierro on the list, Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch expects the higher profile blend to attract the broader interest.

"I think everybody respects the Winx/Pierro filly will garner most of the attention – and understandably so," Hutch said.

"But from a strictly bloodstock perspective, she is surrounded by some of best credentialled yearlings that have ever been offered for sale in Australia."

"This sale also has an outstanding record of success, possessing the best strike rate of any sale in Australasia in terms of Stakes winners to runners over an extended period of time."

Held at the Riverside Stable in Sydney, the sale features 175 siblings to stakes winners.

Of the upcoming Inglis race features, the 2024 edition of the Inglis Millennium takes place on the February 10 at Randwick.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Fully Lit – a $60,000 buy in 2023 – shares favouritism at $4.50 with Listed Inglis Nursery (1000m) winner Odinson who was purchased for $320,000 at the same Easter Sale last year.
