Siyouni and Kodiac add to their stakes tallies on Tuesday
61 for Siyouni
The Al Shaqab Racing homebred Al Hakeem (3 c ex Jadhaba by Galileo) provided his sire Siyouni (Pivotal) with his 61st stakes winner when he won Tuesday's Prix du Lieutenant (Listed, 2000m) at Chantilly. The winner of his last three starts, Al Hakeem scored an impressive four length victory over Yoozuna (Kizuna) for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget and jockey Cristian Demuro. Siyouni's six Group 1 winners include St Mark's Basilica who will shuttle to Coolmore Australia for the first time this spring and his fee has been set at $44,000 (inc GST). In Australia, Siyouni has sired three stakes winners to date, a strike rate of 21.4 per cent stakes winners to runners.
78 for Kodiac
In winning Tuesday's Prix des Lilas (Listed, 1600m), Pennine Hills (3 f ex Milana by Mark Of Esteem) became the 78th stakes winner for Kodiac (Danehill). Placed at Group 3 level as a juvenile for Joseph O'Brien, Pennine Hills was transferred to France and the yard of Jerome Reynier and having her first start for a new trainer scored by a half length from Ataared (Muhaarar). Kodiac fee's was set at €65,000 at Tally-Ho Stud this year and his dual Group 1 winning son Hello Youmzain shuttles to Cambridge Stud where his fee has been set at NZ$30,000 (plus GST) this year.
