Beatus, a three quarter brother to dual W.S. Cox Plate winner Fields Of Omagh, will stand publicly for the first time this spring.
Having served a handful of mares for his owners last year, the seven-year-old son of Cox Plate winner Rubiton will be available at Aurora Stud in Victoria.
Rubiton, a four time G1 winner, maintained an outstanding strike rate throughout his stud of just short of 70% of his runners being winners.
Amongst them were 42 stakes including seven G1 winners – Fields Of Omagh, Adam, Rubitano, Flavour, Ruby Clipper, Patezza and Rubiscent.
Rubiton, who passed away in 2005, was one of 45 stakes winners by noted sire of sires Century.
Bred on the same Century/Sir Tristram cross as the big race winners Foxwood, Flavour, Stella Cadente, La Baraka and Pernod, Beatus is one of six winners produced by his tough stakes placed city winning dam Infinite Charm.
A half sister to Fields Of Omagh, Infinite Charm is also dam of the dual Tristarc Stakes winner and G1 placed Infinite Grace.
Another of Infinite Charm's daughters Endless Charm is the dam of the promising three-year-old Total Attraction who has won three of her first five starts and has been G2 placed.
Infinite Charm is one of 11 winners produced by Finneto including Fields Of Omagh, three time Group winner Malcolm, G3 galloper King Brian and the Listed winner Timeless Grace.
Ancestress of this prolific family is the acclaimed matriarch Gondolette. The legendary Hyperion is her most famous descendant but the likes of Sir Tristram and Star Way are among the successful stallions from this family.
And another W.S Cox Plate winner also descends from Gondolette – the champion Might And Power.
