A variety of 139 sires have contributed to the catalogue for the 2019 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale to be held on March 12 and 13.
The sale features 523 lots over two days with 225 lots BOBS eligible, 157 Super VOBIS nominated and 164 SABOIS Breeder Paid.
There will be 250 yearlings in Book 1 on Day 1 with the remaining 95 lots of Book 1 to be sold the following day. Another 148 lots will be offered as Book 2, and an additional 28 as Book 3.This year’s record 139 individual sires include the first Australian crops of 24 freshman stallions, among them Free Eagle (11 lots), Valentia (20), Bull Point (7), Ready For Victory (10), Vancouver (2), Pride Of Dubai (4), No Nay Never (4), Exosphere (6), Kermedec (4), Press Statement (10), Headwater (6) and Super One (8).
I Am Invincible, who dominated the recent Magic Millions Sale on the Gold Coast, has only one lot as does Zoustar.Recent G1 winners sold in Adelaide include Viddora and Amphitrite.
Viddora was bought for $40,000 in 2014 and has earned over $2.7 million while Amphitrite cost $50,000 in 2017 and has nearly $500,000 prizemoney in the bank.Multiple G1 winners Happy Trails, Divine Madonna and Mummify were also sold as yearlings in Adelaide.
