Following the appointment of Administrators, John Reid and Carlton Siddle of Deloitte, on March 24th 2009 to Mountgrange Stud Limited, an opportunity exists to acquire the stock of the company at a special dispersal sale organised by Tattersalls Limited.
The sale of 23 lots, all except one being horses in training, will take place at Tattersalls in Newmarket immediately after the conclusion of the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale on Friday 1st May.
Multiple Group 3 winner BLUE MONDAY, trained by Roger Charlton, heads the partial dispersal. The 8 year old DARSHAAN gelding has amassed £793,047 in prize money to date in an illustrious career which has included eight wins and placings in four Group 1 contests on three continents. Currently rated 119 by Timeform, BLUE MONDAY is one of ten Roger Charlton trained horses in training, including two other winners, ALL ABOUT YOU and PRIME EXHIBIT, as well as the highly regarded maiden SPLENDORINTHEGRASS. ALL ABOUT YOU, a 3 year old MIND GAMES own brother to Group 2 winner ALWAYS HOPEFUL, was an impressive winner of his second and final start as a 2 year old and boasts a 90p Timeform rating, while the maiden SPLENDORINTHEGRASS, a 3 year old SELKIRK own brother to Group 2 winner ETLAALA, earned a 93p rating having finished an eye-catching fifth to 2,000 Guineas prospect EVASIVE in the Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes.
Other winners catalogued include the Jamie Osborne trained INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, 3 year old SPIRITUAL HEALING, Timeform rated 69+, and the Jeremy Noseda trained 4 year old son of JOHANNESBURG, VISIONS OF JOHANNA, Timeform rated 89. The unraced 3 year old colt BULLET, who is a GALILEO half brother to three Group/Listed winners on the Flat as well as the top class National Hunt horse BEHRAJAN, looks set to attract plenty of attention and also amongst the 23 lots are five well bred unraced 2 year olds.
