The Money Trail – Wyong, December 22

3 minute read

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting for Thursday’s meeting at Wyong.

Tswalu (Race 1) is a well supported favourite at $2.30, firming in 40 cents this morning. The Northern Meteor mare is on debut for David Pfieffer and comes off a good barrier trial win at Warwick Farm.

Hammond Lane (Race 2) has taken over at the head of the market at $3.30 after firming in more than a point this morning. He has placed at all three runs at provincial level this campaign including a Beaumont win and a close third at the same track last start.

Minute Silence (Race 5) has been a good go at longer odds, opening at $51 but having her price slashed to $9 on the back of steady support. She ran an improved race when placed at Tamworth last start and has won three of six attempts at this distance.
