Pilote D'Essai (Race 1) is now second pick in the market at $4.40 having shortened two points early on. He needed the run first up but showed what he could do last campaign with wins in the Ballarat and Pakenham Cups so can improve up in trip second up.

Derryn (Race 2) opened as a narrow favourite but has taken over at the head of the market at $3.30. He raced in G1 company last spring and was fourth in a G3 when resuming so can improve again second up.

Farson (Race 3) is on the verge of an odds on quote at $2 having firmed half a point since markets opened. He is racing in terrific form winning three of four runs this campaign, the last two on end, and the punters are banking on him continuing that form.

Humidor (Race 6) has caught the eye running on well at both runs this campaign including a closing second in the Carlyon Cup last time so looks suited up to 1800m third up. The punters are in his corner, backing him in close to two points and he is now the favourite at $3.80.

Silent Sedition (Race 9) has a touch of class of just missed by a nose when running on first up in a G3, a run that has convinced the punters to back her in a half point as a dominant favourite at $2.10. The mare has never missed a place second up or at 1400m.
