The Money Trail – Scone, April 3

3 minute read

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Monday’s meeting at Scone.

Sacamano (Race 4) is a well-supported favourite at $2.20 having firmed close to a point. The gelding made a promising debut when runner at Hawkesbury and is open to natural improvement with that under his belt.

Makfi Lass (Race 5) opened as favourite but since then has only tightened her grip on the market at $3.30, the best part of two points shorter than her initial quote. She has raced only once for a second at Albury and the punters are expecting her to progress on that effort.

Kiarra Rose (Race 6) could be worth an each way ticket at $6.50 having more than halved her price this morning. The mare should be hitting peak fitness third up and her lone career win came at this distance.

Try 'N' Run A Muck (Race 7) is another at each way value at $5.50, which is almost half of his opening quote. He is consistent and could be ready to break through after finishing top four at his last three outings.

Gunnie Girl (Race 9) opened at double figures but is now $7, a tighten of five points. She resumes and has run well fresh before so could be a lightly-raced improver.
