Celestial Jewel (Race 2) has tightened her grip on favouritism at $3.40 after firming more than a half point. The mare is really starting to put it together and looks to be nearing a win after placing at her past two starts.

Lord Tennyson (Race 4) opened at each way odds but good support has seen him shorten the best part of three points to $2.70 and the top line of betting. He resumed with an encouraging fourth at Pakenham last start and has a strong second up record.

Cable Bay (Race 5) opened at double figures but steady support has seen him six points so could be worth an each way ticket at $5. He fell last time but was fourth in a maiden hurdle before that and the money suggests he is ready to improve.

Royal Island (Race 8) opened at massive odds of 80/1 but has continued to firm so could be worth a place bet at $10. He resumes but is rarely far away first up and has two wins a second from three tries at this course and distance.
