Ryan Runner To Sweep Past Them At The Farm

The lightly raced Windswept is sure to take plenty of beating when he lines up in the Warwick Farm Benchmark 75 Handicap (1200m) today.

Coming into this second up, the Gerald Ryan-trained runner is back in class after running a narrow fifth behind Mount Nebo at Randwick last start, only beaten 0.8L over this trip.

The son of Snitzel was very good in his debut campaign, following up a win with a second placing at this course before a spell, and in this company expecting him to prove too strong.

Jason Collett, who rode the four-year-old last start will stay on board and from the wide draw is likely to settle around midfield or even worse, having settled no better than midfield in three career outings.

Windswept is a half brother to multiple listed winner She’s Clean and he looks a very progressive type who is sure to go on to bigger and better things than what is on offer today.

He was supported on resuming at Randwick last start and almost landed the prize against noticeably tougher company to what he faces here and had very little luck four wide the trip.

No doubt needed the run off such a lengthy break. Fitter and dropping back to the midweeks should see him get the cash

Red Dynamite Saluted in some testing conditions at Canterbury two back and then fought on well last start at Randwick behind Mount Nebo, the same race Windswept finished fifth in.

Meets Windswept worse off at the weights however and was not too far ahead of him on that occasion and expecting Windswept to turn the tables.

In saying that Red Dynamite still gets in pretty well here with the 3kg claim for apprentice jockey and looms as the main danger.

Outside of these there appears to be a couple of each way chances including Turnley who has been racing well in his last couple.

Also comes out of the same race at Windswept last start when seventh and despite going up in the weights gets a handy 3kg claim and is also worth plenty of thought.

Ervana from the John O’Shea stable is Resuming off a generous spell. Showed good promise last campaign which came during autumn 2012. Has looked sharp during trials leading into this. Well drawn and respect any betting moves.
