Annatime To Get Job Done At Gosford

3 minute read

Annatime should build upon a strong maiden preparation over summer by posting a first up win in Race 2 at Gosford on Thursday.

The Kim Waugh-trained filly placed in each of her runs during a two start maiden preparation over the summer.

Her debut yielded a third at Randwick before a second at Wyong.

Form lines out of both those races appear very strong with the Randwick contest including subsequent Group winners Nayeli and Peggy Jean while the Wyong winner in Mr Cha Cha placed at stakes level on two occasions.

Annatime possesses a master Timeform figure of 94 which has her rating clear of this field on weight adjusted figures by some way.

Couple with the strength of her form lines and an encouraging trial win at Randwick earlier this month, all signs point to Annatime breaking maiden status at Gosford on Thursday.

She receives a weight allowance on the final day of her two-year-old season and Brenton Avdulla heading out to Wyong to partner the filly along with just one other ride can only be considered a positive lead.

From an outside barrier, expect Avdulla to roll Annatime across to settle outside the lead and followers shouldn’t have to wait long for the filly’s class to kick in.

The Racingjobs.com.au Maiden Plate (1100m) really does appear to be Annatime’s for the taking when looking at the opposition she faces.

On disclosed form, last start placegetters Committal and Rock My Fuji shape as the main dangers.

Both are early in their campaigns and are capable of further improvement however it should be noted the two have now tried to shed maiden status on 18 occasions combined.

Outside of this pair, check betting moves for the two debutants Rose Bay and London Lady.

Overall though, Annatime looks a class above the rivals she takes on in Thursday’s Racingjobs.com.au Maiden Plate.
