The Jarrod Austin-trained runner was not far away when resuming at Hawkesbury, running a close fourth before going on to win over 1400m at this course last time out.

The three-year-old gelding steps up to the mile for the first time, but held on well last start and should appreciate the step up in trip for this.

Jeff Penza remains on board and his last start effort rates very well against these on weight adjusted ratings.

Carluca has been very competitive in all four runs to date and third up today is likely to improve again and shapes up as the one they have to beat.

Gambler’s Blues shapes up as the main danger having been very consistent in recent times.

Form for the most part has been very good this campaign and proven over the mile, you would expect the four-year-old to be in the finish of this.

Chad Lever who has ridden the last six outings remains on board and if he holds his recent form is right up to winning a race like this.

Standard Bearer has failed to win a race in over a year now but has been very competitive in recent times.

Finished just out of the placings at Hawkesbury last time out and that form shapes up well for a race like this.

Christian Reith goes on board for the first time and is certainly worth an each way ticket here.

Shubawi put two wins together earlier in the preparation and comes into this off a narrow sixth at this C/D last time out.

Has shown enough to suggest she can feature here along with Apache Court who looks well suited third up over the mile.
