Lincoln Road tasted his first defeat in Singapore last start but is expected to bounce right back in this evening's Korean Racing Authority Trophy.
A winner of five of his nine starts, Lincoln Road has continued to impress and is clearly a galloper on an upward spiral.
Formerly based in New Zealand, Lincoln Road first stepped out for Baertschiger in October last year dominating his rivals over 1000m.In five starts since Lincoln Road has continued to raise the bar improving 23 pounds and collecting over SGP$200K in prizemoney.
Due to contest the seventh event the son of Swiss Ace has been kept on the fresh side [30 days] since finishing third behind the very talented Super Winner last start.
In what has proven quite the strong form race, both Super Winner [1st] and Sebas [4th] have won impressively since with My Lucky Strike placing behind the latter.
Despite safely held, Lincoln Road's performance still held plenty of merit and if able to repeat he appears well placed.
Tried beyond 1100m for the first time since arriving in Singapore could be viewed as some query however Lincoln's Road closing sectionals suggest it won't be a concern.
From the inside draw he is expected to press forward with The General the other likely leader.
In the relatively small field there doesn't appear a great deal of speed engaged and hence the front-runners could get their own way.
Quite adaptable Lincoln Road can either lead or sit just off, the fact John Powell links back aboard (unbeaten 4/4) is another push for his chances.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings his latest performance suggests he is clearly the one to beat and a repeat should see him very hard to beat.
The Alvin Tan trained Nova Warrior failed to fire behind Super Winner last start however he is more than capable and remains under strong notice.
A winner of seven of his 16 starts he has displayed plenty of ability and has placed in eight of 12 attempts at this track.
Over this trip he has won four of eight including one minor placing, with Manoel Nunes aboard he has won two of three.
Last start Nova Warrior had 35 days between runs and is expected to display good improvement leading into this affair.
From the wide draw he should adopt a prominent position and could land in the one-one with The General and Lincoln Road likely to be the leading duo.
On career best form little separates Nova Warrior and Lincoln Road and hence if back to his best he is sure to be very hard to beat.
The Bruce Marsh trained Hypernova returned in great order behind Super Winner last start and looms as a major threat if able to repeat.
His main query is whether he can perform as well racing second up as generally he has struggled to replicate his fresh form.
Nonetheless he possesses solid course and distance credentials and has to be respected with Alan Munro sticking aboard.
Of the rest the Patrick Shaw trained The General appears the next in line following a good run of form in recent efforts.
A winner of two of his last three starts his only defeat came at the hands of Super Winner and on that occasion he wasn't disgraced finishing third.
From the wide draw he is expected to roll forward and be in this for a long way.
