Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maiden fillies with six of the twelve racing for the first time. (5) GEUNYANG GARA went through two trials, showing great improvement in the second of them on October 4th (it wasn't a compulsory trial so it may not appear in all race cards). She led, and was a close 2nd, stopping the clock in 62.3 seconds and if she brings that form to the races, she has an excellent chance first-up. (1) SUHYANG MIIN led for much of the way around her trial, ultimately being passed by only the class 1 Listed winner Vics Go. Moon Se-young is aboard and from the inside gate, she will have plenty of backers. Of the experienced ones, only (9) GWANAKSAN WONDERFUL has shown much, running 3rd on debut over this distance on September 14th. She was nineteen-lengths behind the winner but won't need to improve much to be close here. (8) SAMJEONG LADY and (12) DAEHANG BIMA others to consider.

Seoul Race 2: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Imported maidens with all but three racing for the first time. We'll side with a newcomer and (7) SATANG SONYEO. She raced handy in her trial crossing the line 2nd in a quick time and beaten only by the experienced Magic Junior. If she brings that form to the races, she has every chance. (9) HAEK DIA is one of the three who has raced before and after a slow start, she ran on well for 3rd place over this distance on September 28th, albeit well back behind a good winner. She should have come on for that run and will be a danger. Returning to the first timers, both (6) WHIZ CAMPAIGN and (11) TAP TIER won their trials and can be considered first up. (3) BLUE PIORA ran 2nd in her trial, posting a quick time and has the in-form Ruan Maia aboard.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(3) SMART MUSIC has run 5th in both his starts so far, both over this distance. At his latest on September 28th, he settled midfield and ran on in a quick time and from a good draw here, he can be ridden a little further forward and won't need to improve much to win this. (8) YONGAM KATHAKA did nothing on debut but was a much-improved 2nd at start number two a month ago when leading for much of the way around. He will be expected to lead again here, and he can be in this a long way. That pair will fill out most quinellas, but first-time starter (11) SMART A ONE ran 2nd in a fair time in her trial and in this company can challenge for a place first-up. (1) POWER MONSTER and (5) BLUE DRAGON can potentially improve from middling efforts on debut. 

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(7) CHRYSOL CROWN stepped up to this distance at start number two on September 1st and ran a significantly improved 2nd place, coming from well off the pace. He e was well beaten by a good winner but the experience should stand him in good stead and third-up he can be peaking. (1) BLACK SIDAE tackled two-turns for the first time on September 28th and he beat a couple of these on his way to 3rd place over this distance, racing on pace throughout. He draws nicely to lead again, and he has every chance. Completing the top line of favourites is (5) SPLENDID. He steps up to this distance for the first time having run 4th in his latest two at 1200M and 1300M, finishing off his races well, and he can be in the mix. (2) OPUS PURPLE and (8) NONSTOP YEOLCHA the other main placing chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(6) HANGANG CAPTAIN got his maiden win at this distance two starts back (beating Chrysol Crown, who was due to run in race 4) before running 3rd over 1800M on his first try at this class on September 28th. That took him to a win and two placings around two turns and up only 1kg in the weights, he can potentially lead all the way here. (8) GOLDEN SNIPER was a class and distance winner on October 5th when ridden further forward than usual. He was a big price that day and he does come up 3kg in the weights, but he recorded the second quickest time of any of these for the distance and he warrants more respect here. (7) MIGHTY BOM comes up in trip following a solid 3rd place over 1400M on September 14th. He is yet to win in ten attempts but in this company he should be competitive. (4) STUNNING FLATTER and (2) TAENGGEURI others to consider.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(10) DAESEONG STAR will be a warm favourite here. Ater winning on debut in June, he had a hard time from a wide draw in the Rookie Stakes before returning to form with a 2nd place finish at this class and distance on September 29th when leading for much of the way. He does have the challenge of a wide gate again but should have plenty of time to get to the lead and may take some beating. (4) SEONGSIN CHEONHA hasn't raced since winning over this distance back in July, a result which brings him up in class. He has been through two trials over the last two weeks, looking well in both and so long as he didn't leave his race there, the 3kg allowance he gets, brings him right into this. The form of the rest is a bit patchy. (5) WONDERFUL SPIRIT needs a line drawn through her latest but going on her two outings prior when she was 4th and 3rd at this class, she can be in this. (7) GANGCHEOL JEONSA and (8) CHEONGRYANGSAN others who can have their respective latest efforts discounted.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) BOLLIN is a winner of two of his latest four and comes in having been a beaten favourite when 3rd on his first try at this class and this distance on September 29th. He should have benefitted from that experience of a mile, he draws well to be on pace, and he can win this time. That will mean overturning the form on (8) SMART CAT, who was 2nd in that September 29th race, settling midfield and running on well. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but can be in the mix again. (3) STILL PLAY was 4th in the same race, continuing a very consistent run of form and he can be there or thereabouts again. (5) ULTRA MANGCHI is up in class and in distance after a good win over 1200M, but he comes down in the weights and can measure up in this company. (9) KNIGHT CHARM another in the hunt.

Seoul Race 8: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(1) STUNNING SKY had a hard time in a valuable Trophy race on September 7th when slowly away and then never a factor over 1200M. We'll give him a pass on that and instead go on his prior form which saw him win at this distance at class 4 level in April and then run 2nd and 4th on his first two tries at this level, both over a mile. From the inside gate, he should be on pace and will be favourite. While we are handing out passes, we'll give one to (2) JUMONG CHEONHA, who had a poor day at the office on his first try at this class over a mile at the end of August. He comes in fresh following eight weeks off and under a light weight and back at a distance at which he has a wine and four placed finishes, he can go much better. (10) SPARK THUNDER is up in class following a win over 1700M last month. That took him to four wins from eight starts and he can measure up here. (8) VIKING HEART and (6) GLOBAL MAGIC among plenty of other place hopes.

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

Competitive race. (10) ENDING FIRE is yet to win from ten attempts but he has been getting closer across recent outings. He comes up in class here following a close 2nd place over 1400M at the start of September, but he comes down a full 5kg in the weights and the step up to two turns may be just what he needs. (1) SUNNY ROAD beat a couple of these on his wat to 5th place at this class and distance on September 28th. He stays under a light weight, he draws well, and he can be in the mix here. (8) FAST TRACK was a class and distance winner on September 14th when leading all the way around. He comes up 3kg in the weights but shouldn't be dismissed here. (5) VICTORY HIT and (9) SAEPARANG among plenty of others who wouldn't surprise.

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(6) FRESH MAN is one of three of these who ran rather averagely in a valuable trophy race on international weekend last month., running 6th of fourteen over 1200M. Three starts back he won at this class over 1300M and with a light weight, Moon Se-young, who is one for one on him, can win again. (8) YEONNGGWANGUI WORLD also comes out of the race on international day where he was a disappointing 11th. Prior to that he was a very close 2nd at 1200M at this class bringing to an end a run of four straight wins. This is his first try at 1400M, and he can have a big say.  (10) SHADOW HUNTER has five top-three finishes from seven starts with all three wins coming at this distance. He comes up in class here but is very nicely weighted and can measure up. (3) GIANT PUNCH and (7) SAHARAMOND among other chances.

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(4) GEOSEN BANGYEOK has finished in the top two in each of his last four outings, most recently running 2nd in a very competitive trophy race over this distance on international weekend. He is a two-time winner at 1200M, setting fast times in the process and under a light weight and from a good gate, he is the one to beat here. (3) SUPER FINISH posted a super time when winning at this class and distance in June and then ran 3rd in a trophy race over 1400M on international weekend. He carries his fair share of weight here, but he is a big danger. (6) DAEMUL was 5th in that same Trophy race but he too was a class and distance winner two starts back and should be in the mix here. (7) FURIOSA and (8) RAON THE JET among others possibles.
