Early money is with the Ann Browne-trained Tom's Myth ahead of Saturday's $75,000 Grants Plumbing Wellington Steeples at Trentham.
TAB bookmaker Thad Taylor said the 2012 Wellington Steeples winner and Great Northern Steeplechase was popular with punters, prompting the Rainbow Myth 10-year-old's price to drop from $12 to $10.
Bookmakers opened Wotzabuzz as a $4 favourite ahead of Palemo with Tim on the third line of betting at $6 and Volkswagen at $7.
"Most of the early action has been Palemo but they've come for Tom's Myth at a price," Taylor said.
Just Got Home was installed the $3.80 favourite for the $75,000 Dixon & Dunlop Wellington Hurdle (3400m) ahead of Mahanadi and Aintree, who shared $4.50 second favouritism, with Houndscry next shortest at $5.50.
"There's been interest in Mahanadi and we've always got to be wary when the money comes for a Kevin Myers runner," Taylor said.
TAB bookmakers have introduced a novel condition for bets placed on the Wellington Hurdle and Wellington Steeples in that a punter would be refunded their bet if their horse fell, lost its rider or was brought down.
Taylor said the best supported runner at Trentham tomorrow was Our Gazza, the $3 favourite for the $25,000 The Hanley Formula Whyte Handicap (1600m).
"Punters haven't missed him. There's been several four-figure investments on him already," Taylor said.
