Ridden by in-form jockey Ivaldo Santana, Emblessed scored by a neck over the favourite and early leader Cash Dot Com (Jose Verenzuela) with Shaolin Soldier (Alan Munro) three-quarters-of-a-length away third.

Emblessed took time to find his feet in Singapore but has won four of his last five starts and graduated from a maiden success on March 25 to victory in Class 3 company.

Santana bided his time on Emblessed and was happy to sit behind the speed that was set by Cash Dot Com and Rising Expectations (Stephen Baster).

Coming to the hometurn Emblessed had improved to fourth position behind Cash Dot Com and Run For The Hills (Danny Beasley).

Once balanced for the run home Santana got to work on Emblessed and over the final 200m staged a two-horse war with Cash Dot Com with Shaolin Soldier responding well to Munro's urgings before the post arrived too soon.

Trainer Dr Yeoh Kheng Chye said he favoured giving Emblessed, who was also successful on May 18, a break.

“He has done a really good job,” said Dr Yeoh. “This horse just keeps improving all the time.

“I really thought the number five horse (Cash Dot Com) was the one to beat and that is how it has turned out.

“This horse has gone from being a maiden five starts back to now being a Class 3 horse and hopefully he can go on even further now.

“I'm just so happy for the owner to get a good horse like this who is racing so well.

“I think I will give him a bit of a rest now and see where he gets to after that.

“He's done nothing wrong and we can look after him a bit now.”

A three-year-old Australian-bred by Danewin from the Dolphin Street mare Dolphinima, Emblessed edged his way closer to the $200,000 for Tivic Stable with Friday night's success.
