The series is sponsored by Aushorse, Inglis, IRT and Magic Millions. Singapore’s two-year-olds will vie for the $90,000 purse, a possible $30,000 bonus and the coveted trophy over the 1,000m first leg.

Mr Simon Leong, Vice President (Corporate Services) of Singapore Turf Club said, “We are excited to unveil the third Singapore Golden Horseshoe Series after the successful running in 2011 and 2012. We look forward to kick-start this edition with the Magic Millions Rocket Man Stakes this Friday.”

Mr Vin Cox, Managing Director, Magic Millions said, “Magic Millions has a long and proud association with the Singapore Turf Club stretching over 30 years and we’re delighted this will continue with the running of the Magic Millions Rocket Man Stakes at Kranji. The Singapore racing industry is one of the strongest and fastest growing in the world and Magic Millions graduates have established themselves as stars in the region.

“Singapore’s best ever horse Rocket Man is a Magic Millions graduate. We also sold the two previous winners of the Aushorse Golden Horseshoe, Mr Big and Pitstop. Our other recent graduates include Risky Business, Gingerbread Man, Always Certain, Dark Matter, Tenzing and Captain Obvious. Singapore is certainly a happy hunting ground for our clients.”

“We’re looking forward to hosting buyers from Singapore at our upcoming auctions around Australia.”

If the winning horse for this leg is Australian sired and was offered for sale at a public auction through Inglis or Magic Millions (means qualified horse), it will be entitled to a bonus of $30,000. If a non-qualified horse wins any of the five lead-up races, the respective bonus for that race will jackpot to the Aushorse Golden Horseshoe Race on Friday, 17 May 2013. Should a non-qualified horse wins the Aushorse Golden Horseshoe Race, the remaining bonus monies, taking in any previous bonus monies not having been paid-out, will be paid to the connections of the qualified horse that won the greatest amount of prizemoney during the series.
