Distinctive Darci On Target For Kranji Stakes A

Distinctive Darci looks well placed when he lines up in the Kranji Stakes A over 1000m on the Polytrack on Friday night.

The Mark Walker-trained runner comes off a narrow second in a 97 behind The General and is building a very impressive career record.

His most recent win came over 1200m on the Polytrack when beating the likes of Laser Storm and Daniel in the Korea Racing Authority Trophy and looked to have excuses when slightly disappointing in the Garden City Trophy.

Distinctive Darci drops back to the 1000m for this off a freshen up where he has won previously and if he can run up to his best form he will be very hard to beat in this company.

Generally likes to get back in the run which is a slight concern over the 1000m but with just 54kg he rates well against his rivals and will be winding up strongly over the concluding stages.

The four-year-old gelding has now won six of his 14 career runs, placing a further four occasions and on weight adjusted ratings is certainly the one they have to beat today.

Proven on the Polytrack is another positive for the talented runner who is in very good form this preparation.

Nova Swiss has been freshened since a terrific effort behind Countofmontecristo in August, beaten just over a length when runner up in a benchmark 97 on that occasion.

Rates well on the back of that run and should be ready to fire today off a recent three length barrier trial over 1000m.

Has four wins to his name over this trip but has had some recent concerns of a stone bruise which has troubled the horse.

Certainly has the ability to win this race and from the wide barrier would expect Manoel Nunes to roll forward and take up the lead.

Has not won a race since February but has certainly been mixing it with some very good horses since that time and if he is well enough and fit enough he will give a big sight today.

Olympic Anthem has also been given time since his last start effort when midfield in a benchmark 97 over 1100m.

Form prior to that was solid enough but is another that is a long time between wins, his most recent in October of last year in a Kranji Stakes A over 1100m.

Not beaten far behind Sebas two back over this course and distance and despite coming up against a strong field today looms as one of the main chances.

Sebas rounds out the main hopes coming into the race with an impressive eight wins over the 1000m trip.

Did not quite measure up behind The General in a benchmark 97 last start but there was a lot to like about his win the start prior.

Certainly loves the 1000m trip and would not be surprised to see him make his way into the placings.

Good Luck!
