Distinctive Darci To Relish Polytrack Outing

3 minute read

Distinctive Darci looks well placed to return to the winners circle when he lines up in the Speedy Cat 2013 Kranji Stakes A (1200m) on the Polytrack.

The Mark Walker-trained runner put three solid wins together all on the Polytrack before running ninth in the Group 1 Lion City Cup (1200m) on the turf last start behind Lim’s Cruiser.

Going back on the Polytrack today where he has won nine of 15, placing on a further four occasions, Distinctive Darci will be very hard to hold out in this company.

Vlad Duric remains on board and there was a lot to like about his win in the Group 2 Merlion Trophy two starts back when getting the better of Countofmontecristo and Lim’s Cruiser.

From barrier 3, the four-year-old gelding should be around midfield and expect Duric to unleash him at the right time and get the better of his rivals today all of whom have not reached the heights of Distinctive Darci in recent times.

Royal Ruler won well first up in a Kranji Stakes B (1100m) on the Polytrack and you would expect him to come on from that effort.

The Ricardo Le Grange-trained runner is another galloper who is better performed on the Polytrack and looks ready to progress to the Kranji Stakes A.

Royal Ruler does his best racing over this trip with a very handy record, the only concern having not won from four previous second up efforts, placing on two occasions though.

Likely to push forward from the good draw to settle on the speed and you would expect the six-year-old gelding to be in this a long way.

Kratos was disappointing when well backed in a Kranji Stakes B (1100m) last start, leading throughout before not even firing a shot in the straight.

Goes up to the 1200m today for the first time which is a slight concern as he appears to be a much better horse over the 1000m dash.

Expect a better showing today but will need to show significant improvement to get the better of Distinctive Darci.

Wimbledon returns from a spell and looks best of the rest with a handy record when fresh previously, placing in five of his six outings.

Will get a nice run off the pace from the inside draw with Daniel Moor on board and would not be surprised to see him in the finish.

Good luck!
