The team returns with two selections at Newton Abbot and Kempton on Wednesday…

Today's horse racing tips.

Backing Sir Mark Prescott's horses when he sends one up in trip is almost a racing cliché, but Bosphorus Rose looks to be the clear form pick in the Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes (16:23) at Kempton.

She ran green when sent off a huge price on debut at Southwell, hitting the front going into the home straight before pace seemed to get the better of her. Sir Mark Prescott's filly should have plenty more to offer going forward and now stretching out to a mile, she looks sure to benefit from the experience of her racecourse debut.

As for sectionals, the two-year-old hit the line hard last time out, posting a sub-12-second time at the 2-furlong pole after being held up in the rear of the field throughout. There's no doubt her debut effort was promising and with the clock backing that up, this daughter of Golden Horn – closely related to group winner Cable Bay – ought to be in the mix-up on Wednesday.

BOSPHORUS ROSE – WIN – 7/2

Since moving to James Owen, One Big Bang is unbeaten, and he can continue his run of form in the Racing Partnership Novices' Hurdle (14:00) at Newton Abbot on Wednesday.

Having posted two comfortable wins since making the move over the Irish Sea, this event doesn't look to represent a significant step up in class. Owen has a knack for getting the best out of young hurdlers and further improvement can be expected going forward.

Alex Chadwick represents good value for his 5lb claim and knows the horse having been on board for both of the geldings wins in Britian.

Hymac looks opposable at the top of the market given he shapes like a true staying chaser and 2m5f probably doesn't place enough emphasis on stamina for his purposes, while Kruger Park, who admittedly is an interesting quantity, might need this on his reappearance for the Paul Nicholl's team.

In addition, ground conditions will pose no problems for One Big Bang and James Owen's contender looks to be the value against current favourite Hymac.

ONE BIG BANG – WIN – 9/4
