Three and easy at Lingfield

3 minute read

Harry Three did not enjoy too much luck in running last time, but compensation awaits in the Watch Racing Free Online At Coral Handicap at Lingfield.

Clive Cox's charge lost his unbeaten record as he could finish only fourth of five runners, beaten three and a half lengths at Southwell in January.

However, the Adaay colt could not find a clear route through when mounting his challenge and Adam Kirby was certainly not hard on his mount in the finish once any chance had gone.

He is undoubtedly better judged on his two previous successes at Kempton in October and November, when he looked very smart in registering two cosy verdicts.

His handicap mark of 89 looks fair at this stage and connections must be hoping he can achieve the same kind of success as his half-brother and stablemate Diligent Harry.

Reeceltic is another who deserves a touch more credit for a recent defeat as he contests the Betway Handicap.

He was finding all the way to the line at Lingfield at the end of January, but his challenge was not helped as he got caught in traffic before finally getting a clear run.

That was over 12 furlongs and he moves up to two miles again here and while he has never won over the trip, it has looked within his compass on previous attempts.

After Eight can make it third time lucky in the Betway Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Andrew Balding's runner has finished second in both of his two career outings, beaten just under four lengths on the first occasion and only half a length at the second attempt.

He was given a fair bit to do the last day, racing towards the rear before staying on with purpose and it will be disappointing if he cannot feature again.

Allowed can bring up her hat-trick in the Unibet Support Safe Gambling Handicap at Kempton.

She seemingly improved for the move up to 11 furlongs at Southwell when triumphing by just under a length and a further furlong at this venue also suited as she ran on strongly to come home a two-and-three-quarter-length winner.

Ralph Beckett sticks at that distance back at Kempton and while Allowed is 8lb higher now, she is clearly on the upgrade.

Arousing did herself no favours on her latest run – but if she can settle better in the Unibet Horserace Betting Operator Of The Year Apprentice Handicap she might take some beating.

William Haggas' filly was very keen through the early stages before hanging right when contesting a better race than this at Chelmsford last month.

Beaten just a neck, Arousing is towards the head of the weights for this event, but the capable Harry Davies takes off a useful 5lb.

Firth Of Forth has hit the bar in both his last starts, but he can take a starring role in the David Cooper 60th Birthday Handicap Hurdle at Catterick.

Down the field on his first two runs this year, Firth Of Forth showed improvement to finish a four-and-a-half-length runner-up at Newcastle in January before posting a similar effort at Kelso last month.

Dropped 3lb for that defeat, he is worth a look stepped up in distance.

The Virgin Bet Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell can go the way of Anthony Honeyball's Dreaming Blue.

Winner of a maiden hurdle over this two miles and three furlongs in January, he could not follow up over the course and distance under a penalty on his most recent run in a novice contest.

Moved to handicap company now and off a mark of 119, Dreaming Blue could regain the winning thread.
