The Ralph Beckett-trained Task Force will be targeted at the Middle Park Stakes, which is sponsored by owners Juddmonte Farms.
The beautifully bred son of Frankel boasts Guineas winning form on both sides of his pedigree, with dam Special Duty achieving back to back Classic victories in the English and French 1000 Guineas.
Task Force was an easy three-and-a-quarter length winner of a six furlong Salisbury maiden on debut in late July and started favourite for the Listed Ripon Champion Two Yrs Old Trophy Stakes. Partnered by Rossa Ryan, the colt always appeared to have the measure of his rivals, despite becoming unbalanced in the closing stages. The form has since received a boost with the third Seven Questions placing at Group 3 level.
"He's run two great races and the form has worked out well with the race at Kempton," said Juddmonte's racing manager Barry Mahon.
"He's in good form, the owners have indicated that they'd like to go to the Middle Park with him at Newmarket.
"Ralph is of the same mind, so that's where we're headed with him at the minute."
Task Force is widely available at 16/1 for the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on 30 September.
