Triple G2 day at Sha Tin Sunday

3 minute read

And each with an odds-on favourite heading the call.

That means it's a day for multiples unless you are feeling very daring.

The first of the G2s is Race 7, the Jockey Club Sprint over 1200m and the odds-on favourite is Ka Ying Rising for David Hayes and Zac Purton.  He's a seriously good horse but his main target (like many of these runners) is the International meeting in December so you could gamble against him if brave enough.  We are planning to do just that and our hard-earned (or a little bit of it) will be heading to California Spangle on 13.0 for Cruz-Avdulla, who did the right thing by us in Dubai earlier this year.

Helios Express is on 14.0 for Size-Bowman and Beauty Waves 38.0 for Ng- Badel are going in to the multiples.

Race 8 is the Jockey Club Mile and the favourite here is Galaxy Patch for Ng-Ho and next best is Voyage Bubble on 3.8 for Yiu – J Mac.  Beauty Eternal is on 7.4 for Size-Purton and Beauty Joy is 19.0 for Cruz-Chadwick.  Sounds like there is a beauty contest going on at Sha Tin.

The Jockey Club Cup over 2000m sees the return to the track of Romantic Warrior who is reported to be in great form.  J Mac has made the trip to HK to ride him and while the next goal is at the Internationals a trip to Riyadh for the Saudi Cup in February is also on the agenda, so while he obviously will not be quite at his best it remains to be seen if the level he's currently at is good enough to win this.

The main opposition will probably come from Ensued who is on 12.0 and we are adding La City Blanche on 20.0 and Awesome Fluke on 32.0 to the multiples.

Happy Valley lost its last four races when the typhoon warning signal was issued but no such problems are anticipated for Sunday.
