All hail Fame and Glory

3 minute read

There were doubts about the trip but they were very quickly dispelled as Fame and Glory gave a master class to his rivals in the Gold Cup.

Of course the rain was a factor in many of these races, but Fame and Glory had no problems with the

weather, the track or his horoscope as he set sail for home and got home 3 lengths to the good of Opinion

Poll who relished the track, and Brigantin - we said you can't leave Andre Fabre out of anything. Despite

pulling earl Manighar managed to get 4th spot.

Earlier Bapak Chinta took out the Norfolk from Boomerang Bob at 20/1 and Crown Dependency 8/1 third

and our roughie Burwaaz fourth.

The Ribblesdale went to Irish raider Banimpire, fresh from a win at Cork last weekend in a thrilling finish

with Field of Miracles with the final verdict a short head. Dorcas Lane was 7l back in third.

By the time the Tercentenary Stakes (Hampton Court) came around the going was much further down on

the softness scale which suited Pisco Sour, who had run a shocker at is last outing, and went out at 20/1.

Alkimos ran second and Slumber third at 10/1.
