While there weren't really any major upsets in the Singapore features this weekend, the finishing order was not what most had expected.
It was Mr Raffles who won the Friday night Open Benchmark 97 over the 1400m with the more-fancied One More Minute second and Art of Speed third. We were very pleased with the run of Davide in fourth and will be adding him to the little black book.
On Sunday it was the lightly weighted Chase Me who said that to the rest of the field as he came charging down the outside with but faster than New Rose Wood, and leaving the horses who had been in the front line fighting for the crumbs. Silveron Wings got the third and Maurice Utrillo fourth and favourite Aserious possibly was hampered as he went for a very narrow opening on the inside and it didn't come for a while.
