He's won at home and in Australia and now Japan to be right at home on the World Stage.
His win in the G1 Yasuda Kinen was the win of a very good horse indeed as under a top J Mac ride he negotiated the rise in the straight and showed strength going further forward as he got to the top. Namur tried hard to catch him and ran the fastest finishing time but it was not enough to overtake Romantic Warrior who thus gave Hong Kong their first win in the race for 18 years.
Soul Rush was a good third just beating Gaia Force who ran a blinder. Unfortunately for Hong Kong Voyage Bubble didn't seem happy and didn't seem to cope with the rise in the straight and finished at the wrong end of the field.
The winner gets an entry to the Breeders' Cup Mile and the first three get entries into two French G1s including the Jacques Le Marois so it will be interesting to see who goes where.
