NEW SOUTH WALES

SR 5: (7) RAIN AFFAIR has been exceptional in his three wins and he was far too classy for three rivals in a 754m trial on a sloppy Randwick track on 20 June. (5) FIST OF FURY has convictions but you get the best from him when fresh and he should be primed having had another 28 days since he won a Rosehill trial over 900m in heavy going on 3 June. They have done much more than (10) SIKKA was asked to produce when he went around for exercise in a 900m heat at Rosehill on Tuesday.

SR 6: (3) ALTERED BOY hasn't raced since 7 May but he backs up quickly off a good hit-out at Rosehill on Tuesday when he ran home for third in 900m heat. In contrast you couldn't get a line on stable mate (5) GIGINO and his first up chances on Tuesday when he was asked to do nothing in a 1030m heat at the back of the field. If you like the Pinwheel form take note that (8) MADIBAGOLD finished off nicely for third behind that quality sprinter over 900m in the heavy at the Rosehill trials on 14 June.

SR 8: Resuming pair (6) BRAYROAN and (10) KINNERSLEY have had differing preps, the former being yet another of the Waller team to go around in a 1030m trial at Rosehill on Tuesday under no pressure to perform while the Waterhouse stable have tested Kinnersley and he looked forward finishing second in his latest Randwick trial over 1208m on 20 June.

VICTORIA

MR 1-6 BIG CLINT (Mick Price): Lonhro colt who has trialled twice in Perth late last year, winning both of them before heading East. Interesting change of tack and will be one to watch.

MR 7-3 ALLANTHUS (Brian Jenkins): Won two trials over the sticks at Ballarat and Cranbourne, and again we mention that this will be likely way too short, watch for him to get rolling. Remember he did place in a Ballarat Cup and won a Bairnsdale Cup just last prep.

QUEENSLAND

BR 2-8 BLUE JUPITER (Liam Birchley): Always a good trialler, he did the job again at Eagle Farm. Goes well first up and races well here. Ran nicely in a similar race on this card last year.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

AR 4-6 MIMIELE (Mark Minervini): Handy filly who was quickly stepped to a mile and stakes grade last campaign but was an easy winner of her maiden at her last run before a break. Has since won a trial in preparation for her return and may have come on. Looks well placed to kick off over six furlongs here.
