The Racing And Sports Global Blackbook service is easily the most comprehensive on the internet. It provides punters with a great way to keep tabs on horses to follow right around the world. Remember you can always click on a horse from the Racing And Sports Database to blackbook it or go straight to our Blackbook section and maintain your stable runners there.

We’ve identified a few here from the last week which we think can make us some money in the near future.

Blackbookers

Cauthen

Came over to Australia with big expectations after scoring by an absolute space on debut at Te Rapa. As a result he was heavily supported in the lead up to his Moonee Valley run and if it wasn't for his poor racing manners it is quite clear he would have won.

Having been slowly away from the inside draw he settled fourth before bounding at the crossing and losing several lengths. Taking a while to balance up around the turn he really knuckled down late and did well to finish as close as he did to Clevadude.

While the fact he is the $7 second favourite to win the Caulfield Guineas is a bit rich however he is a nice progressive horse and is one to stick with in the future.

Less Is More

Unfortunately Peter Robl is still looking for a way out when he appeared to have a lap full of horse coming into the home turn. Stuck in traffic at the tail of the field, Robl was forced back to the inside and was never able to get clear with Less Is More working to the line untouched the last 200m.

Beaten less than two lengths this former French galloper appears to have made further progression off the back of some solid performances up north more notably finishing a close eighth in the Group 2 Brisbane Cup behind Moriarty.

Only lightly raced he still appears to have plenty of upside and is definitely one to follow later in this preparation as he steps out over further.

Triallers

Ecuador - Friday 2 August

Took a while to notch up his first win but did it in style when scoring by 7L at Gosford prior to a spell when showing sharp improvement with the blinkers on for the first time. On first impressions he looks to have made further improvement off a break having recorded one of the quickest times of the morning. Yet to be seen beyond a mile this lightly raced son of High Chaparral looks to have more wins in store this time in.

Ike's Legacy - Monday 5 August

The time out of this trial is the first big pointer as it is rare to see horses break 54 seconds at Rosehill over 900m and while he didn't take out the trial his effort was a real eye catcher. Unlike the winner I'm All The Talk, Ike's Legacy was untouched to the line and looked to have plenty left in the locker. David Vandyke has never been one to hide his high opinion of this galloper and the fact it was Blake Shinn's only ride of the morning further enhances this claim. Expect a big effort from him first up.
