Mighty mare Winx has been installed a commanding $1.10 favorite by TAB for her racetrack return this Friday in the Warwick Stakes over 7 furlongs at Royal Randwick.
She kicked off her Spring campaign in the same race last year starting at $1.24 when she was too good for an impressive line-up that contained notable opposition including Hartnell, Rebel Dane, Lucia Valentina along with her stable mates Vanbrugh, Who Shot Thebarman and Grand Marshal.
As she strives for her 18th consecutive win on a mission to equal the great Kingston Town in winning three Cox Plates in a row, it’s no surprise to see her at such a prohibitive quote.
“You’ve only had to see the way she has trialled this time in to see she may still be on the way up, incredible as that may seem.
“She won her last trial which is first for her although I think Hughie really had no option as she snuck along the witches hats to get up near the line.”
