Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Coonamble, Queanbeyan, Seymour, Townsville, Port Lincoln and Geraldton.

COONAMBLE: RACE 7 @ 4:45 PM

HOLLYWOOD HERO (2) progressed nicely third up when charging late from well back to secure third over 1600m in the Dubbo Cup on September 29. Finally drawn a decent gate and expect to see him sit closer to the speed today. Goes close. RAVELLO (4) heavily supported on resumption when a tough winner over 1300m at Warwick Farm in BM78 company on September 25. Clearly come back well and expected to feature again. ROMA AVENUE (1) returns from a 29-day let-up after fading badly when seventh over 1800m at Rosehill in BM88 grade on September 14. Gets the right run and has the ability to bounce back with the big weight. SMOOTH ESPRIT (8) tough old gelding who was a total forgive from the sticky draw when 11th over 1600m in the Dubbo Cup two weeks ago. Goes well this track and trip and the soft gate suits.
SELECTIONS: Hollywood Hero to win.

QUEANBEYAN: RACE 3 @ 2:35 PM

TILLMAN (3) has been racing in outstanding form and won in this grade before a narrow defeat at Moruya up in class. Sioted here and should take some beating. FUNKY LITTLE SHACK (2) won well over this course off a wide gate before resuming with an even effort at Moruya. Fitter and commands respect. FERRARI MAN (4) won nicely at odds at Wagga before failing at Dubbo last time. Entitled to another chance. ENCOMPASS (1) and ZARIZ NO WATER (7) are the other chances.
SELECTIONS: Tillman to win. Trifecta 3-1,2,4,7/1,2,4,7.

SEYMOUR: RACE 9 @ 4:55 PM

A terrific race. CASTE (9) has been racing at Group level and got within 2.7L in the Rose of Kingston Stakes last time at 1400m. Ran his best race over this trip in a Group 2 and that stacks right up. CARINI (13) goes in at a price. Fitter now and is 2/3 second-up. His best would see him very competitive and easy to overlook the miss on heavy ground first up. EARLSWOOD (7) beat POUNDING (5) at Ballarat in the Nugget. Not a lot between them. Pounding can post better ratings but he loves finding one or two to beat him... The form around SECOND TO NUN (8) continues to work out well in hot races. Respect her coming here.
SELECTIONS: Going with Caste in strong and interesting Cup.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 4 @ 3:20 PM

YOUR TOO GOOD (4) has been plying her trade in harder races at the Sunny Coast and should find this assignment much more to her liking. First run for the new stable and any market confidence should be noted. VIBURNUM (7) was a touch disappointing last time out but go on the strong Cairns victory two back. Nicely placed to bounce back. LAST DITCH EFFORT (5) has gone back-to-back since changing barns and winning hoop Wiggins sticks. Top-three candidate. GOSSIP TORQUE (2) got a confidence building win by over five lengths at the latest effort and cannot be discounted. TALONS (8) next best while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Your Too Good to win.

PORT LINCOLN: RACE 3 @ 2:20 PM

LITTLE PRINCESS (12) disappointed two back on Balaklava Cup Day when sent out deep odds on but was much better last time in town. Rates highly on best efforts and is ready to shed her tag. CINCHONA (5) was fast out of the gates and gave gave backers a bold sight here last start before sticking on gamely into the frame. Strips fitter third-up and is expected to be in this for a very long way. ANDAMOOKA (4) chased solidly into the placings when resuming over this track and trip two weeks ago. Improvement to come second-up and is expected to be doing her best work late. Smaller case can be made for the resuming INNOCENT SIPS (7).
SELECTIONS: Little Princess to win.

GERALDTON: RACE 4 @ 6:25 PM

SNIPPY WHICH (5) appears extremely well placed in this event. He's been strong in town all campaign and now steps out to 1200m where his peak ratings have come. The blinkers go on first time as he drops back to this level and he gets some nice weight relief too. Should get every chance and make the most of it. STARCHIENNE (6) got a long way back and never featured at Belmont first-up and has been back to the trials since. She is a winner over this trip first-up last campaign at Belmont and also gets the blinkers on first time. Faithfull is 2/2 when riding and she appears the main danger. PATCHWORK (3) may get back in the run but that didn't matter first up in a very similar race to this. She's never missed the placings second-up and if she can build on that effort, she'll go close. WHAT A PRINCE (1) will find this a bit sharp first-up though he's worth keeping an eye on for longer races. HAMMARMILL (7) is a fresh winner in the past and has claims.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Snippy Which.
