Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Tamworth and Bairnsdale.
TAMWORTH: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM
MAGIC FLYER (5) due for a change of luck and a win looks imminent. Got out late from the low gate when an eye-catching fourth over 1300m at Armidale on September 22. Goes well at this course and will relish the 1400m. PARIS LAD (2) improving gelding who looks set for a good preparation. Sent forward and showed plenty of fight late when a game third over 1300m at Scone on September 27. Firmer surface helps and will need a good ride from the draw. RELEASE POINT (4) lightly raced with gelding with a ton of upside. Got into the right spot early from the good draw and chased right to the line when a fighting second over 1400m here on September 30. Ready to win now. DIVINE NOTE (18) is a top three hope from the good draw.

BAIRNSDALE: RACE 5 @ 3:30 PM
SHAMROCK BAY (6) led by a clear margin on the turn but was reeled in late and finished third when resuming over this distance at Tatura last start. Very effective at this trip, draws perfectly, and placed at her only other second-up run - plenty to like about her prospects. RICH AND JOYFUL (10) is back from a five-month spell. Best form last prep was at 1400m so this is well short of her best. Talented mare who will camp off the pace and is capable of a big final furlong while fresh. NOT ENOUGH EFFORT (1) led and dominated in a similar race to this two starts back. Less impressive in a BM64 last time but back in this grade he is a genuine hope. MOONLIGHT RUSTLER (11) resumes. Usually needs a run but his two wins from three runs at this course and distance cannot be overlooked. Market watch on FEAR THE STING (5) who crosses Bass Strait with a decent 1000m resume.
