Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Canterbury, Moonee Valley, Gundagai, Seymour and Mount Gambier.

CANTERBURY: RACE 4 @ 7:30 PM

VAGUER (1) tough gelding back in class after sitting on the fast tempo when a solid second behind Fleet Commander over 2400m at Randwick Kensington on October 30. Will appreciate Wadick's 3kg claim and figure prominently. CHEVAL SAVANT (3) kept fresh for this after disappointing second up when eighth over 1800m at Randwick Kensington on October 9. Winkers come off and expecting a much improved showing with Rawiller aboard. PERSIAN DANCER (6) is racing well on the country circuit and gets her chance with the 3kg claim. Demolished her rivals with the 56.5kg when a 4.5 len winner over 1600m at Wagga on October 19. Has won over the 1800m and can play a leading role here. OLD GREGG (7) mixing his form and looks better placed back to the 1900m. Failed to run out the 2500m when fourth at Wagga in the heavy going on October 19. Each way contender.
SELECTIONS: Vaguer to win.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 4 @ 7:45 PM

AUTUMN STORM (6) won two in a row prior to last start at Flemington when badly held up along the rails for most of the straight, unable to get a crack at them behind the smart Alma Rise. He's a lightly raced 4yo who can atone here. DIVUS ROMULUS (5) resumed over this route and ran well for a narrow fourth. This doesn't look much stronger and he should be much fitter for that. Can win. THE GENIUS (1) was well beaten in that Moe race but has the ability to bounce back. SERVED COLD (7) was a one-time Oaks fancy who resumed from a long spell at Bendigo and will be much fitter.
SELECTIONS: Autumn Storm to win.

GUNDAGAI: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM

LAMBAY (2) was super impressive in winning first-up over 1300m at Canberra. Sent out favourite in a Highway over this trip at Rosehill last start but was never a chance after missing the kick clearly. Has his share of weight but back in this company from a good draw he looks the testing material. GIJIMA GAL (8) was busted by a tearaway leader at Corowa recently, eventually battling on for third. Very fit and draws a better gate so might find her peak this afternoon. FERRARI MAN (1) comfortably scored over the mile at Queanbeyan last time. Query coming back in trip but worth including in exotics. SHAQUILA (3) led all the way for an empathic victory over 1300m at Orange last time. In the mix again with a repeat of that effort. OUR FRANKIE (7) was poor at Corowa last start but is much better than that.
SELECTIONS: Lambay to bounce back and salute.

SEYMOUR: RACE 6 @ 4:10 PM

HIGHLAND HARLEY (1) came back in trip at Kyneton when heavily bet and the run can be overlooked. Won twice and missed by a whisker the three prior and he can get back on track. Has a handy 3kg claim and can sit closer. WRITTEN ROYALTY (2) has been racing well without winning. Has an awkward barrier but the longer sprint should suit. ITSUKUSHIMA (4) resumes for a leading stable with a 2kg claimer aboard. He made good improvement at the back of his previous campaign and is likely to run well. ANNOTATE (3) won a Bendigo Maiden in good style and can go on from that.
SELECTIONS: Backing Highland Harley each way.

MT GAMBIER: RACE 3 @ 4:30 PM

ESQUEL (11) gave backers a great sight on debut only to get nabbed on the line. Is sure to have come on with race experience and is drawn favourably again. Will take plenty of reeling in for her rivals. FRONTAL ATTACK (3) has been much better in his last two when taken forward and is knocking on the door. Kept on the fresh side with 54 days between runs and is expected to be in this for a long way. EMERALD REWARD (2) returns and looks to have come on nicely during his break off the back of a solid Naracoorte trial win. Blinkers stay on from trial. Can make a bright return. LOOK AT MEGO (12) was unwanted on debut at Warrnambool but should find this a fair bit easier. Draws well and can give this a shake.
SELECTIONS: Esquel to win.
