Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Goulburn, Tamworth, Geelong and Kilcoy.

GOULBURN: RACE 7 @ 3:40 PM

SHELSTEIN (11) trialled sharply before a narrow defeat at Canterbury on debut (slow track). The Neasham-trained colt will keep improving and he sets a decent standard. INDIAMO (2) was tracking well before a plain effort on a heavy track at Wyong. He will be fitter again and maps for a cosy run. A much better effort is anticipated. Snowden-trained ZOUSAIN BOLT (12) debuts and has been well-trialled. Has a low barrier and a bild run is likely. TROPEA (9) needed the Wyong outing on debut and has the first time blinkers applied. She's another Sydney-trained galloper with upside.
SELECTIONS: Shelstein to win.

TAMWORTH: RACE 7 @ 3:20 PM

DYLAN'S LAD (11) progressive gelding with an excellent second-up record. Sat on the speed on resumption when a fighting fourth over 1200m at Kembla Grange on May 18. Since fitted with a recent trial win over 1000m at Scone on June 12. Looks too strong for these. STARRY JACK (1) handy gelding who will appreciate the 3kg claim from the good gate after returning to form with a sound victory over 1100m at Armidale three-and-a-half weeks ago. Expected to stalk the speed and take a hand in the finish. CAPITAMY (10) raced in tougher grade at his last two outings and not that far away at latest when ninth over 1200m at Wyong on June 6. Will need a bit of luck early from the sticky draw. GERETY (12) has needed the two runs back and will find this more to his liking after finishing sixth over 1200m at Wyong two weeks ago. Not without top-three claims.
SELECTIONS: Dylan's Lad to win.

GEELONG: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM

HARALDUS (3) resumes and looks nicely placed. He had three runs in his debut campaign, running well on debut as an odds-on favourite at Sale before a dominant win at Benalla. He was beaten again at short odds before a spell but the pieces are there to say he's right up to winning this. DARTS DALY (7) is a progressive type who broke his maiden two back before a sound effort at Swan Hill. In the mix again. PRINCE OF SEPANG (4) will look to roll forward and can give a sight. BATTAGLIA (1) is coming off a smart win in an easier race at Werribee. Doesn't win many in a row but must be some chance.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Haraldus.

KILCOY: RACE 3 @ 12:42 PM

AU REVOIR (9) was quickly back to form narrowly beaten at the Sunshine Coast in stronger. On a 7-day return and will push over and ride the pace. Gets her chance in this line-up. KNEZE (3) has been knocking on the door at Ipswich. The extra metres should suit and he can make the finish again. SHAMUKA (8) comes out of the same race and disappointed. His efforts at the Sunshine Coast prior read well and Stanley is a positive jockey booking. A bounce is likely. SEERESS (6) turned the form around winning a 60 at Kilcoy over 1900m and deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: Going with Au Revoir.
