Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Ballarat, Ipswich and Geraldton.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM

SPACE ACE (3) came out fast on debut from the inside gate when a fighting second over 1300m at Canberra on October 11. Strips fitter now and he looks the main danger despite drawing out. TASTULA (4) shuffled back early from the inside gate at his first run back when a plugging eighth over 1400m at Randwick Kensington on October 9. This is more to his liking, and he can take a hand in the finish. AL FLORES (5) close to her peak now and liked the wat she attacked the line late when fourth over 1300m here on October 10. Can figure prominently. NANTUCKET ISLAND (9) returns from a 47-day let-up after pulling up lame on resumption when eighth over 1400m here on September 7. Since fitted with two trials and expecting a much better showing today.
SELECTIONS: Space Ace to win

BALLARAT: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM

KEEPSAKE (4) was hard in the market in a much stronger 3yo race on debut at Caulfield and while she was well beaten, that market support must be greatly respected here. Can bounce back in a big way. THATS ARCHIES GIRL (12) resumes having run well in a Group 3 race in Adelaide on debut when hard in the market. Much better suited here and will take beating. HUSTLE (3) ran well at Moonee Valley on debut despite starting long odds, running on well for third. Better for that and will be better fancied here. ROCKIN' AT MIDNITE (10) can improve.
SELECTIONS: Keepsake to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 6 @ 2:55 PM

DREAM LANTERN (12) has been going well since the spacious win this track/trip three back in a CL1. Didn't have the best of it at Eagle Farm and then missed a whisker in a Toowoomba 70. Has the first-time blinkers applied and the in-form Jones well give her every chance from a favourable gate. TOO HARD TO REFUSE (3) threatened twice this grade at Doomben and then raced a short-priced favourite at Gatton in a 70 and was caught three wide on the speed throughout. Has a 3x winning rider aboard replacing the apprentice and will use the inside barrier. GOLDEELUCK (1) resumes off two close-up efforts at Doomben in stronger. He's trialled solidly and has placed 2/3 fresh. His record over this distance is sharp. FAMOUS PEDRILLE (7) will run along from a low gate and should be ready to test his Sydney best. Keep well onside.
SELECTIONS: With Dream Lantern.

GERALDTON: RACE 6 @ 7:30 PM

WELL PLAYED (3) closed off strongly over 1200m here fresh and should be suited by the rise in distance. The first-up effort rated right alongside where she left off last campaign and this looks a much nicer set up for her today. Can build on the fresh effort and get the job done. THE RUSH (4) just missed when running on nicely over this course and distance 11 days ago. This looks a similar set up today and she was the equal favourite in that race. Ticking along nicely and is expected to go close again. MANHATTAN STRIP (1) couldn't hold on when leading the field up over this track and trip 21 days ago, beaten 1.1L. He draws a much better gate this time though and Faithfull replaces the apprentice hoop. He'll be in this for a very long way. MIFF MUFFERED MOOF (11) closed off in eye-catching fashion last star55t and has to be included. STATE OF FURY (7) will find this easier than last start and has claims.
SELECTIONS: Well Played gets the nod.
