Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Taree, Wagga and Horsham.

MONTE CRUISE (7) tough mare starting to build an imposing record. Powered late to get up for a gritty head victory over this trip at Tuncurry on August 9. Mollie Fitzgerald keeps the ride and can make it three straight from the good gate. MRS ED (10) has the four wins from 20 starts and back in grade and trip after finishing sixth over 1280m at Gilgandra in BM75 class last time out. Will go forward and is expected to play a leading role. RARE BEAUTY (6) well graded today with the claim after drifting in betting when a surprise winner over 1000m at Scone on August 2. One of the leading contenders. ZOOM OUTCOME (5) shuffled back from the inside gate and failed to get into the contest when a poor sixth over 1005m at this track on August 16. This is much easier and represents good value.

DAZE OFF (6) was a smart maiden winner here last start. Obviously tougher this time but possess a positive racing pattern and can step up to the mark. XSPIRITOUS (7) was poised to strike when returning at Moruya but just lacked a fitness edge late. Better for the hit-out and is among the key chances. MILLER TIME (2) is a track and trip specialist returning. Gets the key booking of Heywood from a low stall. In the mix. SCOFFA (4) wasn't disgraced fresh but failed to fire a shot in town last start. Better placed now and is worth some thought.
SELECTIONS: Daze Off to win again.
HORSHAM: RACE 4 @ 2:30 PM
LOU LOU'S CHOICE (6) is knocking on the door with three consecutive third placings, solid at Geelong last time out in a stronger maiden when beaten four lengths. Well placed in this. WAREO ROAD (3) is a lightly raced type who has been close up throughout his short career. In the right hands and a win looks close. WITHIN SIGHT (9) can resume with a good run while FIRST RETURN (10) may have improver over the break.
