Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Moree, Wagga, Kilmore, Moonee Valley, Ipswich and Launceston.

MOREE: RACE 8 @ 5:20 PM

GOLD SMILES (11) put the writing on the wall at Armidale last Saturday when he chimed in late to finish third over 1100m. That run followed a five-week let-up so he will derive great benefit. Up to a more suitable trip now and drops 3kgs so he has all bases covered. POWER BEAU (2) missed by a whisker over 1300m here two runs back then had a 53-day break before finishing midfield over this trip at Tamworth last start. Freshened up again and is right in the mix. GULF OF GABES (9) has been lumping big weights at the non-tabs and picnics. Struggled last Saturday at Mudgee in a BM50 over this distance but with some relief today he can improve. DA NOIVE (6) just missed in a Class 1 at Coonabarabran on Sunday. Draws a lot closer today so keep him very safe. FLYING BANJO (1) is fitter for two runs back from a spell and has plenty to offer.
SELECTIONS: Confident Gold Smiles can run a big race at a good price.

WAGGA: RACE 4 @ 4:20 PM

JAZZ ALL KNIGHT (8) again showed good tactical speed went sent from the low draw here over the same journey, just finding one better on the day. Draws favourably again and gets in low at the weights with the 2kg claimer engaged. Will give backers another great sight and prove tough to reel in. GALSTON GORGE (1) made light work of his maiden last start when resuming at Queanbeyan. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Cannot be underestimated. LUDOVICA (6) went better than the form suggests fresh when finishing outside of the placings here. The form from the race has stuck up superbly in 57 days with three subsequent winners. Fitter now and is worth considering. ARCTIC DESERT (7) knuckled down gamely in the lane to arrive just in time to score a determined maiden win. Tougher this time but is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Jazz All Knight to win.

KILMORE: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM

This looks open. SPORTS CHOICE (13) missed a lip first-up improved and then spiked her figures narrowly beaten at Ballarat. Maps well and the longer sprint should be right up her alley. Fitter and can go one better. KULINA (15) rates okay on the Cranbourne run and maps for the run of the race. Can be in the finish holding that form. HIDDEN COMFORT (3) has been freshened and has won a Moe Maiden since last seen. She has scope for improvement and the 2kg claim is handy. CONTINENTAL KISS (6) won a Maiden first-up in good style. Lightly raced and and will keep improving.
SELECTIONS: Going with Sports Choice each way.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 7 @ 8:45 PM

HAALAND (7) can run well at each way odds. He's been solid in two runs back from a spell, not far way at Geelong second up over 1700m when midfield. Now third up, he gets to 2040m and looks very well placed in a BM64. MIDNIGHT GLOW (3) finished ahead of Haaland at Geelong so must have claims. He'll have no issue with the rise in trip but does find it tough to win. TEWKESBURY (6) notched up his second career win last start to break a run of second placings when successful at Mildura. Only a BM58 there but his profile is a solid one. FIORENOT (4) is progressive off two consecutive wins and can measure up.
SELECTIONS: Haaland each-way.

IPSWICH: RACE 2 @ 2:12 PM

STELLAR LADY (4) resumes here but the form she has shown in previous preparations is good enough to feature in a race like this. Tuned up for this with a recent trial victory and draws low with the 3kg claim. Ticks plenty of boxes. MY NAME IS (1) placed over this track and trip last time out and strips fitter third-up from the spell. Can make his presence felt. MISSION RIDGE (2) has won over this course and distance and may run a race while fresh. Top-three hope. MACHINE HEAD (3) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and is a must for the multiples. ANGELIC BOOM (6) shed the maiden tag last start and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Can trouble the judge.
SELECTIONS: Stellar Lady to win.

LAUNCESTON: RACE 1 @ 6:00 PM

IRISH STORM (3) quickly found his best Victorian form placing here over this distance. It was a tough effort from a wide barrier and he draws inside today. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and can win on the quick backup. FOREIGN LEGION (1) lacked a finishing dash last time but led and just found one better prior. He will use the rail and is worth another chance. MILES 'N' MILES (4) resumed in the same race and after settling last it was a mighty effort narrowly beaten. Keeps the handy 3kg claim and has more to give. Needs a good ride but the step-up to the mile suits. TWICE THE ICE (14) was much better last time and sits down in the weights. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: With Irish Storm.
