Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 14.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Moe and Rockhampton.
HAWKESBURY: RACE 6 @ 3:25 PM
ALLAPERCANTO (3) down in grade after charging late when fourth over 1550m at Randwick Kensington in BM64 company on April 25. At her top now and should be winning this. INVESTMENT (5) got off the mark at start four when a gritty winner in the heavy (8) going over the mile at Gosford on April 4. Kept fresh and gets all the favours from the inside gate. UNTIL VALHALLA (1) two runs back in city grade have been sound and will find this more to her liking third-up. Bumped into the promising Redbreast when third over 1400m at Randwick Kensington on April 25. Maps well and looks one of the leading contenders. GOOD ONCE (2) racing in a rich vein of form and rewarded for his consistency when a fighting head winner over 1500m at Newcastle on May 4. Hard fit now and can sneak into the minor money.

MOE: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM
A good race. FINE WEATHER (1) placed on resumption in stronger before winning here this grade/distance. He's sure to be further improved and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Has a sharp third-up record and can go on with it. MISSILE MEG (12) deserved the Cranbourne Maiden win and then lined up there again beaten 1.9L in a 64. Maps for a soft run and should see out the extra metres. RICH DIVINITY (4) wasn't far away in the same contest and will be much more competitive third-up over a mile. Has to manage the outside gate but Nolen rides and that's a positive. CLINQSTAR (9) came off a long break at Ballarat and needed the outing. Placed at Mornington her only second-up outing and is up to this at best. In the premier barn and has to be considered.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 1 @ 1:43 PM
I'LLTELLYOUGO (1) ended her last prep with a brace of easy wins and then resumed with an even better win at Townsville a fortnight ago when making all of the running and scoring by over 4 lengths. This looks like a 2 horse race and she comes out on top. ASTRA STAR (2) delivered as expected here nearly 4 weeks ago. He has a good draw but will have to be at his best to beat the top pick as he is giving that runner weight. DUBIOUS AUTHORITY (3) won at Mackay on debut last year and was put aside to mature. She needed her first run back from a spell and should improve quickly second up, especially with the aid of the pole position. FLY TRAP (6) has a senior jockey on this time and wasn't too bad on debut. She can run into a first-four spot here.
