Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Flemington and Belmont Park.

RANDWICK: RACE 9 @ 3:50 PM

DISNECK (14) holding his form well and looks to get the right tempo today after swooping late when an unlucky second behind IN FLIGHT over 1100m at Rosehill last Saturday. Drops 8kg in weight here and has the ability to take this out. Looks great value. ELSON BOY (8) tough Dubbo gelding who jumps in grade today and won't get things all his way in front. Gave them a galloping lesson when leading throughout to win over 1300m at Rosehill on June 15. Claim helps again and having his first start on the Randwick track. WITH YOUR BLESSING (7) fitter now and the drop in grade suits after failing to get into the contest when ninth over 1100m in the LR June Stakes at this track on June 28. Extra trip is in his favour and since fitted with a recent 1200m trial win. Must be kept safe. CONTEMPORARY (5) resumes today and chasing his third straight victory. Had plenty up the sleeve when third in a recent 789m trial on June 17. Sure to be strong late.
SELECTIONS: Disneck each way.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 9 @ 4:40 PM

Keen on PHARARI (12) to make the grade. She's always promised plenty and has proven it this time in, winning her maiden by 8 lengths first up at Cranbourne and going on with it easily at Ballarat in the wet, dominant in fast time, winning by nearly 6 lengths. She's a group class filly who can prove it here. FLEETWOOD (2) missed the start badly at Caulfield last week and ran very well considering. Can bounce back in a big way. BOSSY NIC (1) has found her niche as a sprinter and is racing very well. Solid chance again. RIGHT TO PARTY (9) won here well last time and can measure up. PRINZERRO (5) can run well at odds.
SELECTIONS: Pharari to win.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 7 @ 3:48 PM

BEST MOOD (10) went back-to-back and then settled rearward this grade picking up nicely in the stretch beaten 2.2L. Has a key jockey switch to Pike and is likely to sit handier. Sits down in the weights and has been kept on the fresh side. Fitter again and can bounce. Williams-trained FLURO NEURO (1) improved again winning this grade as a $6 favourite. Third-up now and will go close with average luck from the awkward barrier. TOP OF THE POPS (5) has laid a solid platform in better class and is proven third-up. CJP sticks with the above but he's capable and with a good ride won't be far away. BIRDIEAGLE (3) resumed in good order and likely has excuses following. He's a third-up winner who'd be a player at best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Best Mood.
