Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Sale, Mackay and Bunbury.

SALE: RACE 7 @ 3:30 PM

REVALENE (10) has always promised a bit and scored a narrow maiden win first-up at Swan Hill, scoring by half a length as a heavily backed $1.70 favourite. Fitter and should prove hard to catch again. MANSIERE (5) resumes from a spell of 12 weeks. His form last time in reads well, not far off some Saturday class horses. Only needs to bring that level to take this out. SILVER WAVES (11) resumes. Three runs last time in were good, the highlight being a third placing at Caulfield in a BM70. Drawn very wide here but she's a handy type who will be hard to hold out. HOLY TYCOON (14) was poor last time at Seymour but had been in good form prior and can bounce back. WALTER SPUR (8) next best.
SELECTIONS: Revalene to win.

MACKAY: RACE 9 @ 4:45 PM

TERMINUS (11) led here on resumption and was run over late over 1300m. The former Victorian has been kept on the fresh side and is proven second-up. He wins this at best and a top hoop is booked. Each way. GROWL (4) is a former Sydney galloper who was much better second-up. He's also got plenty up his sleeve and maps for a soft run. Quick improvement is likely. SET THE SAILS (8) resumes and brings strong form from Victoria. Goes fresh and draws the rail. Has been away for a long time but has trialled well and has to be kept very safe. PRIVATE CHEETAH (2) is third-up and can show more. Butler is a positive jockey switch.
SELECTIONS: Going with Terminus each way.

BUNBURY: RACE 5 @ 3:45 PM

WAYNE THE PAIN (1) resumed at Pinjarra from a wide gate and needed the outing. He has placed 2/3 second-up and Harvey sticks with him. Wins at best and should get every chance to break through. VANCOUVER STORM (3) found more like his best narrowly beaten at Pinjarra second-up. Maps well and won't have to improve much to threaten. CABLE GIRL (9) also presented second-up in that contest beaten 1.6L. She's on the improve and it's hard to risk the CJP-Durrant linkage. SHEEZA SHEILA (8) spikes her figures at Pinjarra second-up and should appreciate the longer sprint. Can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to Wayne The Pain.
