Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Albury, Pakenham and Barcaldine.

ALBURY: RACE 7 @ 4:05 PM

LITTLE MISS GRACE (6) returned to form when resuming with an encouraging third over 1000m here on June 24. Goes just as well second-up and has a decent record at this venue. One of the leading players. LITTLE BASHEBA (10) lightly raced mare with ability. Had to be used up early from the wide gate on resumption before tiring to finish third over 1175m at this track on June 24. Sure to be thereabouts again. TORONTO RAIN (2) third-up today and won third-up previously. Up in class second-up when a disappointing eighth over 1000m at Corowa in BM66 grade on July 1. Has a good record here and will appreciate the claim. RELEASE THE BRAKES (11) drops in journey from the latest outing when third over 1400m at this track. Can find the frame.
SELECTIONS: Little Miss Grace win.

PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 1 @ 12:30 PM

PATRIOT STAR (9) is a nicely bred two-year-old filly on debut. By Deep Field from National Anthem who has produced her share of winners. Jumped out well for this and finds a winnable race. Keep very safe. THE SHOWVINIST (7) was well in the market on debut last time out and ran well but found a couple better over 1200m at Ballarat Synthetic. Right in this. ALAA PLENTY (6) resumes from a spell of eight months. Could only manage to finish fifth at the latest run over 1000m in the G3 Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington. This should suit better. Looks an improver. PLANET MARS (3) could be an improver.
SELECTIONS: Patriot Star to win.

BARCALDINE: RACE 3 @ 2:04 PM

SHEZAJUKE (5) missed the hat-trick off a wide gate here a month ago. Draws better and keeps a 3kg claim. She can bounce back. ISSHEGREY (3) peaks and missed a whisker at Emerald last time. Is back in grade with a 2kg claim and always puts in. DEEP MYSTIQUE (2) has switched from a sharp Gold Coast barn on a 44-day return. Lands with Button and Butler is a key jockey booking. Keep very safe. CHIEF MONDO (6) maps well and would be around the mark at best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Shezajuke.
