Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 24.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Taree, Leeton, Swan Hill and Yeppoon.
TAREE: RACE 4 @ 3:25 PM
SHOWTIME (10) is racing well and finds his right race. Had to work hard from the wide draw when a plugging fourth over 1400m at Mudgee on September 8. Gets all the favours with the claim from the low gate. CUP OF AMBITION (14) two runs back have been only fair and worth noting he placed at this track last time in. Made a little ground late when sixth over 1300m at Scone on August 30. Can run into the minor money. SETHFIRE (7) three-year-old gelding by Super Seth out of Poppy O'Neill on debut for the Kris Lees yard. Fitted with two recent trials and gets the blinkers added. Must be kept safe. NAY PEE CEE (1) at his peak now and has placed at this track and trip. Can figure in the minor money.
SELECTIONS: Showtime to win.

LEETON: RACE 6 @ 5:05 PM
BRENLYN'S DAISY (2) is a progressive type that returns and will be looking to pick up from where she left off last campaign. Went into the break with a determined win over Hulm who has been racing in great order of late. Form around her reads superbly and she's expected to make a very bright return. The one to beat. FLYCATCHER (1) is an ex-Godolphin gelding on debut for the Craig Weeding stable off a long break. Worth noting he was a debut winner at Bendigo when sent around favourite. Trial in should have forward enough to play a role. MONDAY MISS (10) was only sound when resuming. Fitter now and is an each-way chance. BRAVO A GO GO (8) returns and is next best.
SELECTIONS: Brenlyn's Daisy to win.
SWAN HILL: RACE 8 @ 5:00 PM
A good race. Hayes-trained BOONDOCKS (1) raced favourite but looked a run short at Tatura first-up. He has provincial and city form that stacks right up and is proven third-up. Maps for the run of the race and they have scratched a fancied stablemate. SAMURAI STAR (4) won this grade and then improved again beaten 1L at Geelong. Peaks and is likely to settle off them and come hard. EDDY STREET (5) draws handy and has been going well on the synthetic. Keeps Rawiller and looks right in it. JET JITSU (7) did a big job winning at Geelong over 1400m and then got too far back at Bendigo. Draws wide again but is better suited and the step up to the mile should prove ideal.
SELECTIONS: On a day where most likely ones are well found, Boondocks provides some value at the each-way quote.
YEPPOON: RACE 2 @ 1:42 PM
READY TO GROOVE (10) returned in fine fashion with a placing around this circuit and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Gets in well at the weights with the 1.5kg and should give backers a sight. ME TIME (7) has placed two of five overall and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Can feature in the finish. Former Victorian SPIRITED SMILE (1) showed glimpses of ability down south and gets Wiggins on from the favourable draw. Respect any market confidence. REAL STORY (2) is first-up for the new yard and could get some of the minor money.
SELECTIONS: Ready To Groove to break through.
